Who is ZombieFit
ZombieFit – A group of passionate traceurs who want to help parkour become more widely available to the Chicagoland area, as well as use the tools of functional fitness and strength training to increase the ability and overall fitness of parkour practitioners and parkour novices alike.
I have been training in parkour since March of 2009. I have had the pleasure of learning parkour from some of Chicago’s best, and look forward to my continuing education as a traceur. I have a varied background in fitness, having over a decade of strength training and conditioning experience. I was lucky enough to spend three years as an intercollegiate cheerleader at two NCAA Division 1 schools. I was introduced to functional fitness about 4 years ago by CrossFit, and that experience has factored greatly into ZombieFit’s philosophy regarding functional fitness and its relationship to parkour.
Jeff (JefeD):

A 22 year old traceur that has been dedicated to training in parkour and staying in shape since February ‘o9. Was a soccer player for 7 years and played sports in highschool but never found his true calling until learning about parkour. I came from a life with no direction. Parkour became my resolve, transforming me from the inside out. It strengthened my mind and my body yielding confidence and good health. It is my life and love of the art that leaves me here wanting to continue my learning and teach those who desire to learn.
Jesse (Native):

I have been practicing parkour since January of 2009 and also had the opportunity to learn from some of Chicago’s best traceurs. I train to be strong and to survive any obstacles in the future. Parkour has given me a strong sense of self, and has already improved my overall life in many ways. I value hard training and conditioning to slowly progress skills. Quadrupedal movement, vaults and wall climbs are my favorite techniques. I’m always glad to help other practitioners and meet new people in the community.
