Parkour Jam in Naperville on Sunday!

This Sunday Chicago Parkour is throwing a jam in downtown Naperville. We’ll be meeting at the following location at noon.

I highly suggest coming out as Chicago Parkour is a great community with a lot of talented traceurs. Regardless of your parkour ability level, try to come to the jam as you’re guaranteed to learn something. Remember, parkour is meant for the urban environments. You have to try it outside eventually

AERO Beginner Jam – Chicago

AERO (Chicago Parkour Community) will be having a beginners oriented jam at UIC at 10 and we will be meeting at the intersection of Halsted and Harrison. There will be several different stations where different techniques will be presented and taught.
Here is the schedule for the Beginners Jam this Saturday. I hope that a lot of you can make it out to this Jam. It should be a great event and all should come to this because it will be beneficial to all.
Meet at Halsted and Harrison- 10:00
Move to warm-up spot- 10:30
Warm-up and balance- 10:30-11:00
Workshops- 11:00-1:00ish
Conditioning-1:00-1:20
Lunch- 1:20-2:00
Jam- 2:00- Whenever

What is functional fitness? We think it is the ability to perform any given task, at anytime, quickly and efficiently. Functional fitness and situational awareness are necessary skills that are lacking in today's society. ZombieFit hopes to change that.
What if you woke up tomorrow to find your city overridden with zombies, would you survive? This may seem childish, but by preparing for the impossible, you'll be ready for the improbable.
The keys to surviving Z-day are simple: Be able to lift and throw heavy things, run fast and for long distances, and be able to navigate obstacles and urban environments in an efficient manner. By following the ZombieFit WODs (workout of the day) and practicing parkour, you will achieve increased fitness through the performance of functional movements at high intensity and find within yourself the internal discipline and mental fortitude necessary to become a traceur.
Our goal is to be instructive in functional fitness and the parkour ideology. We sincerely hope you learn something from this site.
