ZombieFit Seminar
We’re trying to set up our first ever ZombieFit Training Seminar. We haven’t worked out the details as of yet, but it will likely be a 2.5 day event sometime in early to mid June in Chicago. The event will likely consist of classroom instruction on Friday evening with in-door parkour training on Saturday and a parkour practical outside on Sunday.
The emphasis of this program will be learning the basic methodologies of parkour and ZombieFit conditioning. This event will be limited to 25 individuals, with a preference given to active-duty military. If you are interested in attending the seminar, please shoot me an email. There will be a registration period starting April 1st, 2012 for active-duty military members, with any extra spots opening up to the public being made available on May 1st. If there is enough interest we may hold two seminars this summer. If there are not enough attendees to cover our costs, then we will cancel the seminar by May 20th.
Cost: We have not determined the cost for the seminar at this moment as we are still negotiating space for the seminar. We are also attempting to bring in some special guests which may affect the price as well. I’ll have a finalized cost by the end of April.
Please Note: This is NOT a ZombieFit Trainer Certification Course. Because of the dangers inherent in parkour your attendance at this seminar will not allow you to become a ZombieFit Instructor. Depending upon the success of this seminar, we may offer ZombieFit Trainer Certification Courses in the future.

The keys to surviving Z-day are simple: Be able to lift and throw heavy things, run fast and for long distances, be situationally aware and be able to navigate obstacles and urban environments in an efficient manner. By following the ZombieFit WODs (workout of the day) and practicing parkour, you will achieve increased fitness through the performance of functional movements at high intensity and find within yourself the internal discipline and mental fortitude necessary to become a survivor.
What is functional fitness? We think it is the ability to perform any given task, at anytime, quickly and efficiently. Functional fitness and situational awareness are necessary skills that are becoming less and less important in today's society. Our goal is to be instructive in functional fitness and the parkour ideology. We sincerely hope you learn something from this site.
